The Acadian Flycatcher (Empidonax virescens) nests in the eastern United States, perhaps most commonly in the southeast. It is a common migrant through coastal Texas in the spring.

Acadian Flycatcher Empidonax virescens. Breeder. Common in spring, summer, and fall in all regions. Found in moist deciduous woods, dense woodlands, and wooded swamps. Low Conservation Concern.

Least, alder, willow, and even acadian flycatchers can be found in the western regions of the continent. The latter two are not the only recently split siblings in those parts.
