Anaconda (Eunectes murinus)
I don't know enough about snakes but I assume that this is an Anaconda - or rather was an Anaconda.

Anacondas' diets consist of rodents, fish, birds, caiman,
turtles and even larger mammals if the snake is large
enough. Anacondas have a slow-acting digestive system
and it can take several weeks or longer for the Anaconda
to digest its meal.

Anacondas
The dimensions that have earned the anaconda the title of king is its total body mass or its weight (the sheer physical bulk of it). The other snake that competes with the anaconda is the Asiatic Reticulated Python (Python reticulatus).

Anacondas are quite at home in the water.
The water’s fine!
Anacondas like to be in or near water, and they are excellent swimmers and divers.

Anacondas feed on aquatic and amphibious animals, including mammals, fish, caiman, birds, ducks, and turtles. There have been a few reports of cannibalism involving green anaconda females preying upon anaconda males.

Anacondas are related to boa constrictors and pythons. None is venomous. They are constrictors: they suffocate their prey by coiling around it and squeezing. Anacondas will eat almost anything they can find: fish, birds, mammals and other reptiles.

Anacondas are four species of aquatic boa inhabiting the swamps and rivers of the dense forests of tropical South America. The Yellow Anaconda can be found as far south as northern Argentina.

Anacondas live in swamps, marshes, and slow-moving streams, mainly in the tropical rain forests of the Amazon and Orinoco basins. They are cumbersome on land, but stealthy and sleek in the water.

Green anaconda are carnivorous. In the wild these snakes will eat almost anything they can manage to overpower, including: fish, birds, mammals and reptiles.

Anacondas, like other snakes and most other reptiles, can quite easily adapt to a change in the climate, environment, and near surroundings when necessary. The reasons for an anaconda's needing to adapt can vary.

Anacondas can grow to 10 metres and weigh 250 kilograms.
They are hunted, and are critically endangered, which means they may die out very soon.
There are about 140 species, or kinds, of land snake and about 32 species of sea snake in Australia.

In the contest over which is the world's longest snake, South America's green anaconda (Eunectes murinus) and the two largest pythons of Africa and Asia are neck-and-neck-and-neck.

African rock pythons constrict their prey as do other members of the family Boidae (boas, pythons and anacondas).

The heaviest snake is the Anaconda snake of South America. It is the largest snake in circumference, measuring up to three feet (one meter) around and reaches a length of about 25 feet (7.5 m).

This is the biggest gartersnake I've ever seen. I didn't measure it, but I guesstimated afterwards that it was nearly four feet long. The anacondas and pythons aren't impressed, but that's a mighty big gartersnake.
