While the termite and the ant bear a superficial resemblance, they differ in several ways. Like all insects, of course, each has a head, thorax and abdomen encased in an external skeleton, and each has two pairs of wings and three pairs of legs.
Aardvarks are native to sub-Saharan Africa. They are sometimes called 'ant bears,' although they are not related to bears, or are mistakenly referred to as anteaters, which are New World members of a different order.

The Chinese people call the panda "Da xiong mao," which means "giant bear cat" in Chinese. The panda is a symbol of peace in China.
Immediately after birth the mother helps place the infant bear into a position to suckle. Suckling takes place up to 14 times a day and lasts for periods of up to 30 minutes.
Most bears' eyes have round pupils. The exception is the Giant panda, whose pupils are vertical slits, like cats' eyes. It is these unusual eyes that inspired the Chinese to call the panda the "Giant bear cat".
Distinguishing Characteristics:
Since a very young age, Haines has been a particularly large bear. Despite his immense size, he's said to have a calm and easygoing disposition. He gradually took on the role of the dominant bear in the group.
The aardvark resembles the New World anteaters but is not closely related to them. It is also called ant bear or earth pig.
