The Azure Kingfisher posed as many kingfishers will do. It is very hard to take good pictures from a boat full of people as someone is almost always moving. This is the same kingfisher I saw at Kakadu.
Many, like the common kingfisher Alcedo atthis and the azure kingfisher Alcedo azurea, are piscivores. Kingfishers are very good at catching prey.
The prize for prettiest Yellow Water bird went to this Alcedo azurea (Azure Kingfisher).
