BIGEYE THRESHER SHARK
The Bigeye Thresher Shark, Alopias superciliosus, is a large, charcoal-colored shark with a huge, asymmetrical caudal fin (the top of the tail is much longer than the bottom) and large, green eyes.

The principal market tunas consist of seven major species (albacore, bigeye, skipjack, yellowfin, and three species of bluefin).
Some varieties of tuna, such as the bluefin and bigeye tuna are threatened by overfishing, dramatically affecting tuna populations in the Atlantic and northwestern Pacific Oceans.
Bigeye are overfished as well, but instead of rebuilding their populations, policy makers are allowing overfishing to continue. Several stocks of yellowfin and albacore tuna are overfished as well.
It is one of the most commercially valuable fish on Earth, with the major markets focusing on albacore, bigeye, yellowfin and the 3 bluefin species. Skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) is also an important component of the tuna market.
