The blue-footed booby is one of six species of plunge-diving birds, closely related to gannets, that often have brightly colored feet. The blue-footed booby is brown with white under-sides.

The blue-footed booby (Sula nebouxii) is an adorable looking sea bird with bright seafoam-blue webbed feet and a blue-gray face to match.

The blue-footed booby, Sula nebouxii (Milne-Edwards, 1882), is famous for two reasons: its link to Charles Darwin's expedition to the Galapagos Islands, and its name.
