Bottle-nosed Dolphin
The bottle-nosed dolphin is blue-gray with a dorsal fin and white belly. Its average length is 9 ft (2.7 m) and its average weight 350 lb (160 kg).

Bottle-nosed dolphins mate in the spring and summer, and females give birth to single calves about 10-12 months later.

There are 33 species of ocean dolphins, including the bottle-nosed dolphin, the spinner dolphin, the killer whale, the pilot whale and the common dolphin.

The most common of these is the bottle-nosed dolphin (Tursiops truncatus), mistakenly called porpoises. Bottlenose dolphins have robust, powerful bodies that are blue-gray on top with lighter sides and bellies.

Q: Do whales, killer whales, and bottle-nosed dolphins have any hair at all on their bodies??? AS for whales, I have found that some books say yes and some say no. I have not found anything for killer whales and dolphins. Thank you.
