DESCRIPTION: Broadhead Skinks, or "red-headed scorpions" as they are sometimes called, are the second largest skink in the eastern US.

Description: 6 - 13 in (15 - 33 cm). Broadhead skinks are the largest skink in the southeast, and with the exception of the glass lizards, are the largest lizards in our region.

Description: 6.5-12.75 in. (16.5-32.4 cm) Broadhead skinks are the largest skinks in our region. Adults are usually olive-brown, and males have orange-red heads which fade by early summer.
