Cave Swallow Petrochelidon fulva. Rare in spring in Gulf Coast region. Found in open habitats.

The Bahama Swallow (similar to the Tree Swallow) is sometimes seen in South Florida, and the Cave Swallow is a Mexican species that ranges toTexas and New Mexico, occasionally elsewhere.

The only confusion species is the closely related Cave Swallow, which is richer in colour and has a cinnamon rump and forehead.
