Cleaner Wrasse Labroides dimidiatus
The cleaner wrasse spends its life grooming other fish, turtles, and occasionally even divers. This little fish is silvery blue with a black band running from snout to tail.

Cleaner wrasse behaviour in relation to territory size and reef type

Cleaner wrasse are the most well-known wrasse species as they are often seen going into the mouths of large marine animals in order remove the dead material inside.

clearfin lionfish (Pterois radiata)
clown butterfly (Chaetodon ornatissimus)
clown coris wrasse (Coris aygula)
clown goby (Gobiodon histrio)
clown sweetlips (Plectorhinchus chaetodonoides) ...

For instance, the cleaner wrasse, which is monandric (all individuals are born female), forms harems that are held together by male aggression towards subordinate females.

Bull Shark ( Carcharhinus leucas )
Coho Salmon ( Oncorhynchus kisutch )
Cuiu Cuiu ( Pseudodoras Niger or Oxydoras Niger )
Electric Eel ( Electrophorus electricus ) ...

At reef cleaning stations, large fish line up and signal the cigar-shaped cleaner wrasse that they are ready to be cleaned. Cleaners then hurry all over the fish's body, eating parasites and food remains.
