The common iguana, Iguana iguana, is widely used as food throughout its range from southern Mexico to central South America and also in the Lesser Antilles. It is an arboreal tropical forest animal, attaining more than 1.

The common iguana (Iguana iguana) is a tree-living, strictly vegetarian species found along streams from Mexico to N South America. Members of this species are 3 to 6 ft (90-180 cm) long, with the tail accounting for two-thirds of the length.

One of the largest and most widely distributed is the common iguana (Iguana tuberculata), which occurs in the tropical parts of Central and South America and the West Indies, with the closely allied I. rhinolophus. It attains a length of 6 ft.

The Green iguana or common iguana (Iguana iguana) is a large, arboreal herbivorous species of lizard of the genus Iguana native to Central and South America.

The Green Iguana
The green or common iguana lives in Mexico and in South American countries such as Brazil. It grows to be about 1.8 metres long.
