The Dall sheep (also known as Dall's sheep and the thinhorn) is a hoofed mammal that lives in mountainous regions (alpine tundra and taiga).

Mammal. Also known as thinhorn, dall sheep are the northernmost wild sheep in the world. Their horns take up to 8 years to grow and are composed of keratin, the same material as our fingernails.

Dall Sheep (Ovis dalli dalli) inhabit the mountain ranges of Alaska. These white creatures are most notable for the males' massive curled horns.

Dall sheep have hollow hair which insulates their body. They also like the south-facing slopes because they get more sun.

I saw one pair of Tundra Swans. Land birds included: Gray Jay, Black-billed Magpie,Yellow Warbler, Wilson's Warbler.There were female moose along the road and high on the mountain Dall Sheep.
