Description:
Scarlet Kingsnake (L. triangulum elapsoides): Scarlet kingsnakes are considerably smaller than milk snakes and reach lengths of 14 - 20 in (36-51 cm).

 



The Eastern Milksnake appears to be absent from the north-central forested region. It is quite common in the Kettle Moraine State Forest in eastern Wisconsin, and populations still persist in Milwaukee County.

Most eastern milksnakes will accept small mice as their preferred prey.
Eastern milk snakes usually have from 4 to 10 eggs, but occasional clutches of up to 16 eggs have been documented. The hatchlings vary between 6½ and 11 inches in length.
