Your next challenge is the other sandwichensis species - Hawaiian petrel, elepaio (also Hawaiian) and subspecies of emerald dove and short-eared owl. I was going to add sandwich tern but see that's sandvicensis.

Instead, her head is brown as are the neck and underparts.
The juvenile has reddish-brown scalloping with blackish bars. It gradually grows into adult iridescence.
This species is also known as the emerald dove.
