Great Basin Spadefoot Toad (Spea intermontana)
Description: Less than 2½" snout-vent length. Color greenish, gray, or brown, with scattered darker spots or blotches. Soft glandular lump between eyes. Wedge-shaped spade on each hind foot.

Great basin spadefoots forage at night for earthworms and insects, especially ants, beetles, and grasshoppers. They are especially active when it's rainy and damp.
