[9] A group of three birds was also sighted in 1964 in the Rimsky-Korsakov Archipelago near Vladivostok with a small flock of Harlequin Ducks.

There are many species of gulls, alcids and ducks that aren't around during other times of the year. Most winters, a few Dovekies, King Eiders or Harlequin Ducks show up.
