Eublepharis macularius
Leopard geckos are generally yellow or white with dark brown spots. Gecko skin is soft despite its many knob-like bumps. Unlike many other lizards, leopard geckos have eyelids.

Leopard Gecko Species Profile
Leopard geckos are increasing in popularity and are probably the most widely kept reptile pet next to the green iguana.

Leopard geckos are long-lived, hardy little reptiles. Because of this, and the fact that they are gentle when handled, they are popular in the pet trade.

Do not use "white" lights for heat, as they should not be left on at night. The reptile will need heat at night as well. Hot "rocks" are not helpful for hiding species like leopard geckoes - they are not comfortable lying in an exposed position.
