The Monkey-eating Eagle, Pithecophaga jefferyi, is a fine forest eagle of the Philippines. It has remarkably strong legs and an extremely deep and compressed bill. It is about 3 feet tall with a 6-1/2 foot wingspan. It weighs about 14 pounds.

These monkeys are found throughout the forests of central Africa. Because the leaves they eat are low in calories and thus deliver less energy, colobus monkeys adapt by reducing their activity level.
SPIDER MONKEY & MAN
Throughout much of its range, the black spider monkey is hunted by man for food. Being both noisy and quite large, the spider monkey is an easy target for darts or arrows.
Spider monkeys are encountered in healthy tropical rainforests in Central and South America. They are vulnerable to hunting and habitat loss due to human activity. The black spider monkey, Ateles paniscus, is one of three species of spider monkey.
Spider monkeys are active during the day and are found in various group sizes from singly to about 40 depending on the scarcity or otherwise of the fruits on which it feeds. There are three times as many adult females as adult males in a group.
Spider monkeys are found in social groups of up to 30 individuals; however, they are usually broken up into smaller foraging groups of 3-4 individuals.

Vervet monkeys living near areas inhabited by people can become pests, stealing food and other items and raiding crops. Good climbers, jumpers and swimmers, they often elude capture.

These monkeys are highly sexually dimorphic. Males weigh around 23 kg and females around 12 kg. The head and body length ranges between 508 and 1,143 mm, with the tail adding an additional 456 to 711 mm to the total length.
