The Moose is the largest deer. Males have large branched antlers that is sheds in the fall and regrows in spring . It is dark brown, almost black, to reddish or greyish brown,.

The Moose (Alces alces) is a large member of the deer family and is about the size of a horse. In the western hemisphere it occurs across most of Canada and Alaska as well as many of the northern United States.

The Moose is most dangerous when it is protecting it's young. It is also dangerous to startle them! And you never know what a bull moose will do during mating season, so please use extreme caution when getting close to one.
