Nicobar pigeon

Animals NibblerNight Crawler

The Nicobar pigeon is one of the most beautiful of the many species of pigeons or doves. Like all pigeons, the Nicobar pigeon is rather thick-set with a relatively small head, but is heavier than most pigeons the same size.

The Nicobar pigeon flies from island to island in its native range to find seeds, fruit and insects to eat. The species often sleeps at night on nearby offshore islands to find safe refuge from predators.
