Similar in size and distribution is the queen conch, Cassis cameo. Its shell has been used in Europe to carve cameos.
For example, in the Caribbean, you might find the Queen Conch (Strombus gigas), the West Indian Fighting Conch (Strombus pugilis), the Hawkwing Conch (Strombus raninus) or the Milk Conch (Strombus costatus) There are many other species as well.
