Quokka Anatomy and Appearance
The Quokka is a small species of Wallaby that has a rounded and compact body.

Quokkas live in family groups led by a male. They are active at night, and gather in large social groups, often at water holes. At sunrise family groups return to a shelter in thick vegetation to spend the day.

The Quokka (Setonix brachyurus) is a small macropod, about the size of a large domestic cat. Like other marsupials in the macropod family (such as the kangaroos and wallabies), the Quokka is herbivorous and mainly nocturnal.

The Quokka is a marsupial from brushy areas in southwestern Australia. It is a small wallaby, a type of kangaroo. Quokkas can hop with their powerful legs and walk on all four limbs. Their life span is about 5 years in captivity.

About Quokka
The quokka was one of the first marsupials it was discovered in the late 1600s. They look like rats with their long faces and almost bare tails.
