I made some experiments this summer with the rattle snake Crot. tergeminus. I wanted to determine whether the virus had any effect on the stomach, and whether their bite injures reptiles.

Although all rattle snakes can swim, the eastern massasauga rattlesnake is sometimes known as the swamp rattler and spends more time in aquatic environments than its relatives.

You may imagine the massasauga rattle snake to be a vicious serpent, ready to strike. The term rattlesnake immediately strikes fear in the hearts of most people.

The badger is a carnivore, eating mostly meat like small mammals, lizards, snakes, insects and carrion. Badgers are one of the only animals which can kill and eat rattle snakes. Badgers are fearless hunters.
