Red-spotted Toad, Bufo punctatus
The Red-spotted Toad is one of the smaller toads, reaching lengths around 2 1/2 to 3 inches. The only toad with round parotid glands that are the same size as the eye.

I'm not confident that I've identified them correctly; a friend believes that they are probably Red-spotted Toads (Anaxyrus punctatus), but they really don't look like that species to me.

Sapo arriero (Alsodes nodosus)
Fuhrmann's backpack frog (Cryptobatrachus fuhrmanni)
Rio Suno robber frog (Strabomantis cornutus)
Pristimantis (Pristimantis nigrogriseus) ...

There are about a dozen Bufo species in the United States, among them the common American toad (Bufo americanus), Fowlers toad (B. fowleri), of the E United States, and the red-spotted toad (B. punctatus), of the Southwest.
