Requiem shark
The requiem sharks are members of the Carcharhinidae family that includes some of the best-known and most common types of sharks, such as the tiger shark, blue shark, bull shark, and milk shark.

 


REQUIEM SHARKS
Requiem sharks (Family Carcharinidae) are a type of large Carcharhiniformes sharks. with 5 gill slits, two dorsal fins, an anal fin, no fin spines, the mouth behind the eyes, and nictitating eyelids.

The tiger shark, Galeocerdo cuvier, is a species of requiem shark and the only member of the genus Galeocerdo. Tiger sharks are relatively large macropredators, capable of attaining a length of over 5 m (16 ft).

longimanus has a 'typical', although somewhat flattened requiem shark body, often with a mildly humpbacked aspect.

Hammerheads, the Requiem Sharks such as the Bull Shark and the Tiger Sharks, the Basking Shark and the Smooth Dogfish fall into this category. Dogfish have the longest known gestation period of any shark, at 18 to 24 months.
