The Roseate Spoonbill (Ajaia ajaja) is a fairly common resident of the Gulf of Mexico coastal regions of the United States; the species also occurs as far south as Argentina and can be found in the Caribbean region as well.

The Roseate Spoonbill, a large wading bird with pink plumage and a distinctive spatulate bill, is one of the most striking birds found in North America. They stand 85 cm tall and have a 1.3 m wingspan.
