Serotine bat
Serotine bats are one of the largest British species, and one of the first to emerge in the evening. Serotines inhabit almost all of Europe and parts of Asia, but in the UK are restricted to southern England.

The false serotine bat is found in Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo (3).

Found in primary forest and caves between 500 and 1,500 metres above sea level (4).
