More on Siamang
Gibbon - small ape, genus Hyloblates, found in the forests of SE Asia.

Primate:
A siamang is not a monkey, but an ape. It is the largest of the southeast Asian gibbons and is in the same family as the chimpanzee, gorilla, and orangutan.
...

Their loud calls usually occur only in the morning hours and are believed to help maintain territorial possession as well as cohesion within the siamang family group. The hooting-barking call can be heard for 2 miles.

Siamangs are both the largest of the gibbons and the loudest: their territorial calls are amplified by a throat sac that can be inflated to the size their head.

Siamangs have relatively smaller ranges than white-cheeked gibbons, about 60 acres (0.24 km2). They seem to travel about half as much daily, which may be because they consume a greater percentage of a more common food, leaves.

About Siamang
The siamang is the largest gibbon they can weigh up to 30 ponds. They have long black fur. They live in small family groups. They have loud calls and can be heard over a half a mile away.

SIAMANG
The siamang is a rare, black, long-armed ape.

SKUNK
Skunks are black and white mammals that can produce a terrible odor.

Gibbons may be divided into two groups, the one represented by the siamang, Hylobates (Symphalangus) syndactylus, of Sumatra and the Malay Peninsula, and the other by a number of closely allied species.

Gibbon species include the Siamang, the White-handed or Lar Gibbon, and the hoolock gibbons.

The largest of the gibbons is the siamang, a black woolly ape that uses its extended throat-sac to produce haunting warbling calls. Siamang are well represented at Howletts Zoo in excellent, well roped, rustic cages.

Gibbons (including siamangs) are particularly adept at this type of locomotion; the heavier orangutan prefers to grasp a neighboring tree and pull itself across to it.

Many have white markings on their faces, hands, and feet. The largest species are known as siamangs, and can grow to 29 pounds (13 kilograms). Smaller species reach only about nine pounds (four kilograms).

Like the great apes, they lack tails, and have the same dental formula. Their skulls are also similar to those of great apes, having enlarged braincases and huge eye orbits that face forward. Siamangs are the largest type of gibbon.
