Slow Loris
Adult slow lorises range in size from 21 to 38 cm, depending on the species, and weigh up to 2 kilograms. The tail is a mere stump. The short, thick fur can have a variety of color, mostly grey-reddish and often with whitish undertones.

Slow lorises
Slow lorises are a group of primates from southeast Asia and possess a very rare trait for a mammal - a toxic bite. This provides defence from predators and mothers also protect their young by licking the toxin onto their fur.

Pygmy slow lorises are nocturnal and arboreal, foraging and hunting in the trees at night. These primates eat mollusks, insects, eggs, small mammals and vegetation.

Tarsiers may fall prey to any number of arboreal, nocturnal predators that share their tropical, forested habitats.

Slow lorises (Nycticebus coucang, Nycticebus bengalensis, Nycticebus pygmaeus ) Brachial glands on the inside of the elbows of the slow loris secrete a brown exudate. This exudate is licked and becomes mixed with saliva.

-long (20-cm) body and very thin legs, and the slow loris (Nycticebus coucang), with a 16-in.-long (40-cm) body and short, thick legs. The slow loris has pale brownish fur with a darker dorsal stripe.

Pygmy lorises, also known as lesser slow lorises, are small compact animals with short muzzles and tails, large eyes directed forward and short, dense coats.

Both in this species and the slow loris there is a pair of rudimentary abdominal teats in addition to the normal pectoral pair.

aka Lesser Slow Loris
Nycticebus pygmaeus
The pygmy loris is a small, nocturnal primate with a compact body, short dense fur, and a small round head with large, saucer-shaped eyes.

Very rarely observed eating small vertebrates (birds, lizards, rodents, slow loris).
Time spent foraging on different types of food varies greatly season to season.
