Toco toucans are the largest of the 37 species of toucans. They grow to 25 inches long, though their impressive beak accounts for nearly half of that length.
Toco Toucans are the most famous among the group due to his huge beak. He has been the mascot of some company’s commercials that had great impact on the public.
He is considered common in the wild, but his price of acquisition is elevated.
The Toco Toucan (Ramphastos toco) frequents the rain-forests from Guiana to Bolivia and northern Argentina. It is 25 inches long and is the largest of the Toucans.

Toco toucans, Ramphastos toco, have the largest bill of any toucan. The toco toucan is mainly black, with white on the throat and upper breast. The bill is orange crimson, fading to greenish yellow.

Toco toucans live in small flocks of about six birds. Their bright colors actually provide good camouflage in the dappled light of the rain forest canopy.
