Tuna - or tunny, game and food fishes, the largest members of the family Scombridae (mackerel family) and closely related to the albacore and bonito.
The species is also known as horse mackerel and in the past was called the common tunny.
MACKEREL, pelagic fishes, belonging to a small family, Scombridae, of which the tunny, bonito, albacore, and a few other tropical genera are members.
