DESCRIPTION: 3/4-1 1/2" (1.9-3.8 cm). Skin smooth, greenish-gray to brown. Three dark stripes down back; may be broken, reduced, or absent.

Status No status assigned in Minnesota. Description These tiny frogs are probably Minnesota's smallest frogs with a body length of slightly over an inch.

DESCRIPTION: A tiny brownish frog with dark stripes on back and a dark band that runs from the nose to top of front leg, through the eye. 1 to 1 1/2 inches long.

Three subspecies of the striped chorus frog are found in Pennsylvania: Pseudacris triseriata triseriata, the western chorus frog; P.t. feriarum, the upland chorus frog; and P.t. kalmi, the New Jersey or coastal plain chorus frog.

The subspecies found in the Piedmont of North Carolina, the Upland Chorus Frog, has been split from the Western Chorus Frog (Pseudacris triseriata). Ours was formerly known as Pseudacris triseriata feriarum.

From this table I learned that Mesa Verde National Park contains a bunch of herps that I have yet to encounter anywhere, including Tiger Salamanders, Western Chorus Frogs, Variable Skinks, Milk Snakes, Smooth Green Snakes, and Prairie Rattlesnakes.

Upland Chorus Frog (Pseudacris feriarum) is a species of chorus frog found in the United States. It was recently separated from the Western Chorus Frog, (Pseudacris triseriata), being identified as an individual species rather than a subspecies.

When overwintering in these microsites, four-toed salamanders may occur in groups, which may include other species such as spring peepers (Pseudacris crucifer), western chorus frogs (Pseudacris triseriata), wood frogs (Rana sylvatica cantabrigensis), ...
