The White-throated Sparrow (Zonotrichia albicollis) is a bird which breeds across most of Canada as well as the northeastern United States. Its song is a familiar summer sound of northern forests.
White-throated Sparrows are common breeding birds in coniferous, deciduous, and mixed forests throughout northern Alberta south to the northern edge of the parklands, and south through western Alberta to the Calgary area.
