Aequidens rivulatus, Günther, 1859



Origin:Equador and Peru, in tributaries to the amazon river. On the web it's also reported from Colombia and Venezuela, but this could be Aequidens pulcher.

 


Aequidens rivulatus can be just what its common name suggests - a terror. These fish are big and can be territorial. They are best kept in a large aquarium, 55 gallons at the minimum.

I just recently got a beautiful 2 1/2" Green Terror. I put him in my 30 gallon tank with my 2" Flowerhorn(Another Great fish).
