Alternanthera reineckii
In aquariums it was introduced under the name of Telanthera Osiris. The plant is spread in the tropical zone of South America.

I have had the Alternanthera reineckii var. lilacina in my Dad´s and my 200 liter community tank for 2 months now, it is a very hardy plant and doesn't need much attention at all. All it needs is a space of a few centimeters from other plants.

The first photo illustrates Alternanthera reineckii, the second is A. r. "lilacina," and the third is A. r. "rosaefolia."

Currently, as pictured, there are three java ferns, 2 sprigs (6 per sprig) of green cabomba, and a potted plant called telanthera (alternanthera reineckii). So far I've just added some water but will be doing my first water change soon.
