PD : An elongated fish with lateral compression. Color varies from brown to black withthree yellow horizontal stripes.

A headstander is any of several species of South American fish, including Anostomus ternetzi, Anostomus anostomus (family Anostomidae) and members of genus Chilodus from the family Chilodontidae.

Their tankmates are a group of Anostomus anostomus. Most of the day they just rest on the bottom, but when it's feeding time or at night they become active predators.
