Dysichthys coracoideus
SYN : Bunocephalusbicolor, B. coracoideus
PD :A flattened fish having a rounded head and a body decreasing in width after the pectoral fins.

Banjo catfishes lack an adipose fin. Their common name refers to their dorso-ventrally flattened bodies that in some species at least resembles a banjo. Their bodies are naked except for large tubercles.

Banjo catfishes are found in freshwater; occasionally brackish waters of tropical South America. Divided into two subfamilies, species from Bunocephalinae are imported more often.
