Kim bak lor translates into 'Golden Meat Fish' in English. They are only recently kept by aquarists in aquariums. Originally, they are farmed as food fish for seafood restaurants.
The Pearl Arowana (Sceleropages jardinii) or Spotted Saratoga (also Saratoga jardinii) is commonly confused with a totally different species, the Barramundi (Lates calcarifer) which is not even of the same genus.

A barramundi or polka dot cod is another great personality, they also lurk but when they swim around they have this really interesting rollicking motion to their movement. They also grow to be quite large.
