Bifurcate - Divided into 2 equal branches.
Calice - The opening of the corallite, bounded by the wall.
Centers - The position of the mouths or columellae.
Cerberoid - A solitary polyp with multiple mouths.

These fish have bifurcated suboccular spines located under their eyes and used as a defence mechanism. If a loach deploys its spines while caught in a net, untangling it is difficult and can cause severe injury.

They have bifurcated suboccular spines, located under the eyes, that will raise when stressed, and could poke a hole in the bag. They also have been known to sleep or rest in odd positions.
