Aquarium setup: Serrasalmus niger (Black Piranha) Should be kept in a large well filtered aquarium with a lot of free swimming areas. The aquarium should contain rocks and roots which creates hiding places for the fishes.
Black Piranhas need to be kept in large aquariums that allow for a lot of open-swimming. An aquarium of no less than 100 gallons will not justify such a creature. The tank should be decorated with large rocks as well as floating plants.

I have hag alot of different kinds of piranhas but the best and most interesting would be the black piranha[serrasalmus rhombeus] . the black piranha I had would attack anything that moves even the hand that feed him.
My friend did this once with a single black piranha... he ended up with a chunk out of his thumb and a few stiches to keep it attached to his hand.
