It recently killed my 6 inch bristlenose pleco. Doesn't seem to be interested in pellets. I feed about 4 goldfish per day although more will be eaten if introduced. Isn't shy at all. It even lets me pick it up when moving between tanks is needed.

Breeding: Ancistrus dolichopterus (Bristlenose pleco / Catfish) are very easy to breed and often breed spontaneously in community aquariums. They are easily sexed since males have a lot of bristles on their nose and females do not.

One of these smaller plecos is the Bristlenose pleco (shown above), which only reaches 4 or 5 inches in length. There is little that can match the appetite of a pleco and they will keep your tank walls crystal clear.

Bristlenose plecostomus leave most fine leafed plants alone, but demolish the wide leaves of sword plants in particular.

In fact, Bristlenose Plecos are among the few Loricariids to be successfully spawned in the home aquarium
