After more than half an hour, we saw a beautiful slightly black-coloured river. There were some hair grasses growing on the river bank.

In her 1991 revision of the genus, the Danish botanist Marian Orgaard recognized five species of which four are known in aquaria, namely Cabomba aquatica, C. caroliniana, C. furcata and C. palaeformis. C.
Peat filtration in combination with 80% RO water will provide suitable waterconditions for these fish. The tank should be dark, with driftwood, floating plants and some plants that tolerate these conditions like Javafern, Javamoss, Cabomba aquatica.
