SS : Clown Rasbora ( R. kalochroma ) is similar in coloration, although much larger. The Ocellated Dwarf Rasbora ( R. urophthalma ) at 1.5" (4 cm) is only slightly larger.
A very similar looking species, Rasbora espei, is also available, as is the Clown Rasbora - Rasbora kalochroma and the Scissor-Tail Rasbora - Rasbora trilineata.
Ideal tankmates include pearl (Trichogaster leerii) and chocolate (Sphaerichthys osphromenoides) gouramies, clown rasboras (Rasbora kalochroma), two spot catfish (Mystus bimaculatus), ...
Even with such a small body, they sure have a high concentration of color. They were until recently believed to be juvenile Clown Rasboras Rasbora kalochroma, but have now proven to be a species of their own.
