Clownfish and Anemone Compatibility
There is a definite closeness between clownfish and their host anemone.

Clownfish, or Anemonefishes, from the family Pomacentridae, are one of the easiest tropical marine aquarium fish to breed. Clownfish regularly lay eggs in aquariums.

Clownfish are omnivores, requiring both meaty foods as well as some greens in their diet. A high quality marine flake food, rich in spirulina algae, as well as freeze dried and frozen foods are readily accepted.

Clownfish
Clownfish are related to damsels, and are fairly hardy. However, they are more difficult to acclimate to a new tank. Clowns, in general, are very territorial, but are not otherwise aggressive except to other clowns.

You can choose from 5 different saltwater fish like Butterflys, Tangs, Angels, Clownfish plus you get to add planktons and starfish. For the freshwater aquarium, you can choose from a barb, angel fish, discus, Red Oscar, and a red Platy.

Thanks to the film "Finding Nemo", the popularity of Clownfish has rocketed. Nemo is actually an Amphiprion ocellaris. There are several other Clownfish species that can look similar to the A. ocellaris.

The good news is, some of the more popular marine species, including various clownfishes, dottybacks, basslets, gobies, blennies, seahorses, and others are currently being bred in captivity—and the list is steadily growing.

These fish tend to grow big and have bad attitudes. Last, but not least, when choosing a saltwater fish look into Clownfish. Be sure if you choose these not to mix species because they like to be with their own kind. These are also hardy fish.
