For anyone that has been in the reef keeping hobby for any length of time, the new found interest in coral cuttings, is rather amazing. The propagation of corals, especially stony corals, has been going on for at least the past fifteen years.

It can be propagated easily by seed or cuttings. Seeds prefer to be grown emersed while cuttings can be cut and planted directly into the tank substrate.
Cuttings can be planted in substrate or tied to driftwood, but growth will substantially slow. Adding CO2 is helpful, but not necessary.
You may wish to read those before you start making cuttings. Note that this corals requires real high water quality when you make cuttings. DOC needs to be very low (dissolved organic carbon).
