This cycle can occur when the bacteria that breakdown organic wastes die. This can occur when the tank or filter is washed with soap or some disinfectant. If this occurs, the tank will have to be cycled again.

One of the questions I'm most often asked to give advice on is the baffling phenomenon of cloudy water. There is no single answer, because there is no single cause.
The life cycle of Oodinium takes place in 6 - 12 days. This rapid reproduction allows the disease to spread rapidly and it can quickly take out a whole tank of fish.
The life cycle takes 12-16 days to complete, depending on the temperature, and the tomite stage lasts for only three days.
All of these facts may seem trivial, but they are important because they dictate what treatments will be effective.
Nitrogen Cycle: The nitrogen cycle describes how organic wastes are broken down to less toxic compounds in the aquarium. Fish wastes (i.e., urea) and other organic matter naturally decomposes into ammonia, which is highly toxic.
Nitrogen Cycle - This describes how a fish's bodily waste is broken down in the aquarium. The waste decomposes as toxic Ammonia (NH3). Nitrsomona bacteria convert the Ammonia into Nitrite (NO2), which is also toxic.
Nitrogen Cycle: Ammonia is created by urea and decomposition. Ammonia is turned into nitites by nitrosomonas bacteria. Nitrites are less harmful than bacteria, but still pose a threat. Nitrites are converted to nitrates by nitrobacter.

In order to cycle a tank using ammonia, start everything up and add some gravel from an established tank or a few potted plants (their roots contain all of the necessary bacteria, and the plants themselves do not seem to be harmed by this process).
The nitrogen cycle is the first sentence of the aquariumCycling, and includes the free water from all the excess nitrogen that before the water is suitable for animal life. Sounds a little 'complicated? Do not worry.
