Neolamprologus pulcher "Daffodil"
Origin and locale/variety: Kantalamba-Tanzania, Lake Tanganyika, East Africa
Size: Adults are usually 3.0 to 4.0 inches in aquarium environment.

Daffodils are often confused with the Neolamprologus brichardi as they are extremely simialar. N. brichardi have blue/grey colored fins and black markings on the gill cover that form a t-like shape, while N.

TANK: 30" (75 cm) tank with a volume of 20-25 gallons (75-98 L).

r> I currently have a pair in a 25 gallon with some electric yellows, r> daffodils (which may be moving shortly), red-finned caudopunctatus, r> and a red-tail shark (shouldn't really be counted).

A- I have a 38 gallon tank and in it I have one species of Julidochromis (malieri - rock dwellers), a species of shell dwellers, Neolamprologus brevis, and another Neolamp, brichardi "Daffodil", another rock dweller.

ventralis and N. pulcher "daffodil". Very, very pretty fish!!! I wondered if I had ever saw real daffodils in the aquarium trade. The red rainbow Tropheus here is very nice with yellow body and red fins.

Today we now know these as daffodils which, you may have noticed, are always looking downwards - like Narcissus into the reflection of his pool. From this legend comes the term narcissism, meaning exclusive love of self.
