Emperor Angelfish Diet
It should be fed a diet of Spirulina, marine algae, high-quality angelfish preparations, mysid or frozen shrimp, and other meaty items.

This species grows large, well over 12 inches in length.

This is one of the most expensive saltwater angelfishes to buy. Juveniles look very different than the adults and these Angels need a very high quality diet. They eat lots of sponge in the ocean.

Is an emperor angelfish really any more colorful and beautiful than a cardinal tetra? Actually, for my taste the cardinal tetra is the prettier fish, yet the difference in price is orders of magnitude.
I narrowed my choices down to the Emperor Angelfish (P. imperator), Blue-Faced Angelfish (P. xanthometopon) and Majestic Angelfish (P. navarchus). They all can be kept in reef aquariums with some limitations.
Pomacanthus imperator (Emperor Angelfish) is supposed to reach 38 cm when fully grown. Well, it seemed to me that this specimen was well over than mark. It is always interesting to see this fish feeding the natural way.
