Aquarium EndemicEntire

Endlers Guppies
I have never liked guppies; I have always considered their extended fins and extreme colours to be as grostique as some fancy goldfish.

Endler's livebearers are active, hardy little fish. Rare in aquarium stores, and pure strains are best bought online or through known breeders/hobbyists.

Endlers were found in warm 81F (27C) and alkaline water but easily adapt to local conditions. They are not a threat to their own fry and somewhat prolific if kept in a well planted tank and given a good mixture of foods including some vegtable matter.

Endler's livebearer
Poecilia wingei is a species of fish in the genus Poecilia, native to the Paria Peninsula, Venezuela. It is a colorful fish, similar to (and closely related to) the guppy.

Endler (Poecilia wingei)
This tiny fish came to the hobby in the 70s. There is still some debate over whether it is a variation of the guppy (Poecilia reticulata) which it is very similar to.

Guppy x Endler - They will have the elongated fins of the Guppy, but the orange/black distinctive spots of the Endler, they will also be smaller than a Guppy.

Endler's livebearers give birth to live young approximately every 28 days. They are hardy and undemanding in the aquarium though they prefer hard, warm water.

Endler's livebearers are small guppy-like fish. They were first collected in 1937, and then re-discovered in 1975 by Professor John Endler. He took the fish to The New York Aquarium, from where they were taken to Germany.

Endlers Livebearer
This livebearer species might be extinct in the wild. They have very similar care requirements as the guppy and the two are closely related.
