Welse family - Catfish
Usually the Welse family is improper considered a `cleaner fish` family with reduced water and food needs. Most of the beginner breeders have the false impression that these fish feed with other fish rests.

Family Characidae
The family Characidae is large, with 776 species in 152 genera. They are distributed from southwestern Texas through Mexico and Central America to South America.

The family Labridae is one of the largest fish families found on coral reefs, with over 500 species occurring worldwide. As you would expect, this is a diverse group whose members vary in appearance, behavior and captive care requirements.

The Aponogetons are a truly aquatic genus with species distributed throughout the tropical and subtropical regions of Africa, Asia and Australia.

MOCHOCIDAE FAMILY
The Mochocidae or Naked Catfish Family includes some ten genera, including the well-known genus Synodontis, and 110 to 170 species. Mochocids are foundthroughout the lakes and rivers of Africa.

Breeding/Reproduction: Like most fish in this family, the Opaline Gouramis are bubble nest builders. Their eggs as well as the fry, are lighter than water and float to the top.
